Femi9 Energy

A Group Art Exhibition

About Exhibition

Femi9 Energy is an exhibition that invites artists to explore the vast, complex, and transformative power of the feminine. Not confined by gender, feminine energy lives within all of us—it is intuitive, emotional, nurturing, receptive, fierce, cyclical, and deeply creative.

This show honors the many faces of the feminine: the soft and the strong, the ancestral and the contemporary, the mystical and the mundane. It seeks to create a visual dialogue that explores embodiment, nature, sensuality, identity, and power.

At a time when the world continues to grapple with imbalance, Femi9 Energy turns to the wisdom of the feminine—not as a binary, but as a vital, fluid, and grounding energy. We welcome works that disrupt, heal, reveal, and reclaim. Whether rooted in myth, memory, ritual, or lived experience, this exhibition offers a space where the sacred meets the sensual, where vulnerability becomes power, and where the feminine—eternal and ever-evolving—takes form.

Featuring the work of ten Ontario-based artists and one Quebec artist, this group show includes painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, and mixed media.

Participating Artists:
Siobhan Arnott , Drew Bernard, Carrie Chisholm, Dale Dunning, Mahshid Farhoudi, Hannah Kilby, Diane Pinock, Denisa Prochazka, Ludmila Prochazka, Daria Tishchenko and Hyeseon Yang.

Julia Shure Presents an art as therapy workshop
Artful Aging. Evolving Happily With Menopause

This ‘play’shop is open to people between the ages of approximately 40 – 65 years, and who are experiencing the
mental, emotional, and physical effects of peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
During their time in this ‘play’shop participants will be guided through a variety of therapeutic art invitations that will
center on the theme of peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause. These invitations will help them focus on
the present moment and regulate their nervous systems. Using their imaginations, participants will explore how to play
with art and art materials can help them feel more grounded in the physical, mental, and emotional changes that have
been happening to them during peri-menopause, menopause, and/or post-menopause. They will connect with others
who are experiencing the same life milestones to feel comfortable, and even positive about these changes. Participants
will have the opportunity to foster well-being in a non-clinical environment. No previous art experience needed, just
curiosity!
Participants will build community through inspiration and exploration of the work on exhibit at the Withrow Common
