Art in Motion
Kinetic and Visual Art Exhibition
ART IN MOTION is a first-of-its-kind Kinetic and Visual Art Exhibition featuring the moving artworks by artist Guy Beckles combined with the illustrative representations from several local artists that are creating amazing contributions to the art scene in Toronto, Halifax and internationally.
The goal of this exhibition is to underline the importance of representation by multicultural, and Indigenous artists in Canada, while showcasing the dynamic work being done by these individuals. The event is an interactive exhibition, primarily utilizing selected artists to engage the visitors into continuous conversation on the positioning of multicultural history and art within the Canadian cultural landscape.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see the uniqueness of kinetic art, and multidisciplinary artists working in most media. A small part of the exhibit will highlight exposure to the tattoo artform by a local Toronto Tattoo shop, Atlas Ink., providing a unique experience for visitors to witness the creativity and culture associated with this artform.
